I just got an email back from my Swiss connection. They have a line on 3, Sniper variants of the Schmidt-Ruben rifles. But hang on to your shorts cause they aren't cheap!

The K31/43 is going to cost $1,212 bucks minimum figured at an exchange rate of 1.65 CHF to the Dollar!

There are two K31/55's available. One's better than the other so here are the two prices in US dollars. $1,515 and the other one is $1,636!

Be mindful that there will be import fees, paperwork, transportation, exchange rate fees to wire dollars to Switzerland converted to Swiss Francs! I can see at least $100 bucks and possibly as much as $200 bucks getting expended beyond the cost of the arms.

Then it could take up to 10 or 12 months to get it in to the US.

Let me know quick if anybody wants one. They need to know if they should buy any of them quick!

Grumble, grumble, mutter, mutter . . . . . how am I going to suck up that much money in two days! Arrrrrrrrrrrgggggh! Dang I'd love one of those 1955 snipers. Go to www.swissrifles.com and click on K31 variants. You will drool and get wood at the same time! :D

Shuetz, man.....I'd love to get one but that is just to rich for me at this time. :( And I don't think I could stand the wait. What an awesome rifle though.

For the people to lazy to find it at swissrifles.com, here is the picture of the 31/55 sniper

I hear you TheRifleman. I'm having a hard time figuring out where I'm going to get the bucks myself. I might just have to sell something! ;puke: Oh the horror! If you want to see more pics of the same rifle click on this link. There are close up photos of it here. Very very sweet! http://www.swissrifles.com/sr/sniper/

Oh and ED4 there is a manual you can print out that's PDF Adobe format. The link to that is at the top of the page for this sniper version of the K31.

This post is dated for sure. My delivery cost is more like $2K with transportation and licenses. US import excise tax is 18% beyond this. The blasted Swiss changed their system and they have to buy an export license for each weapon or one huge expensive license if the dealer is going to export all the time. Needless to say my source over there is not into fulltime export so he must purchase the license for each weapon to leave. Don't you just love politicians and the shit the invent for gun owners to struggle with?

Today I'm putting in my paper again as it seems as if ATF has f'ing lost the first set. Morons!

That's bullshit, Schuetzy. Too bad our government's love of "free trade" doesn't apply to foreign-made firearms.

Yeah a K31/55. Well I don't go to Assweb for a variety of reasons. For one it's banned by the system here at work. The other is I don't find much in common with the average poster there.
