Any word on the Yugo SKS rifles?

I was just looking at the InterOrdnance web site and now it says the Yugo SKS's have just arrived!

Had anyone ordered one yet? Any word on the quality or actual availability???

I broke down and ordered one but they don't have them yet. The lady on the phone said they were in port in NY and expected to clear customs this week. She said they should be shipping rifles the week after that. We'll see. I'm not holding my breath.

Last email I got from Ulrich @ I/O was Friday. He said the rifles had left JFK via truck and would be at customs Monday, 11/5/01. If everything cleared customs he hoped to have the rifles in house and Import marked this week. I ordered a "like new" as soon as I heard they were getting them. I'm looking to just before Thanksgiving as the delivery date. Keeping my fingers crossed. My CC has still not be charged so I'm cool.

Hey TheRifleman,
You may want to drop your order with Interordnance and wait for AIM to get these in. This is the "other" batch of Yugo SKS rifles I referenced as possibly coming in after the first batch at MARSTAR got busted for having fudged paper.

Mr. B at AIM says about 3 weeks and they will be Interordnances competition on these. FYI since I know you are close to AIM you might want to do the handpick thing so to speak! ;)

I would love to have one of these but have never ordered off of the internet before. Does anyone know if these will flood the market like the Romainians did.

Nothing is sure,but I'm personally guessing they will,eventually Century will get thier hands on some in quantity and while we may not see them quite as cheap as the Rom's,I'm betting much better pricing than $300 for a LN SKS.......Even so If I had the cash,I'd be tempted at $300....

Shawn, they are C&R. They have all the stuff on them, bayonet, grenade launcher etc... I/O wants $249. VG and $299. Lilke New

I canceled my I/O order. I'll get it from AIM.

Things have really changed in the last 2-3 weeks. When I/O advertised them it was surmised that it was all BS and probably 5 years before they would hit. Now AIM is three weeks away from offering the same thing? Sounds like I/O got the jump on AIM. I consider these as being more rare, at least at the moment, than the Russians which are bringing in the $300 range. Someone posted a while back about cost averaging. Sounds like an idea. If AIM comes in significantly lower, don't see why they would but if they do, I'll grab one from them and have two. You can never have enough guns. Just my .02

I got your email and sent you a reply about 30 min. ago around 6 eastern time.

Richard S. the original mint ones that were coming from Marstar in Canada are still going to be there AFAIK. This is another batch that have been somehow been brought in to satisfy the investors in these Yugo rifles.

About Century having these I don't know if they will. Although century is a direct importer they aren't the only one.

AIM could be buying from I/O because AIM is not an inporter. But if more importers than I/O got them, who knows who they bought from.

I will deal with AIM because they are local for me. I can drive over and pick up the rifle.

I really want one of those, I hope the importers will take the Grenade Launchers/Flash-Hiders off some of them and send them to Kali. Its times like these when I really hate Kali, and I envy all of you who live in Free-gun-loving States.
