Hello to all. This board looks like a good C&R board so I thought I would come and visit for a while and air my problems. (Does this sound like a relative or what?)I need some advice on tightening up the front sight base on my Hakim. I removed the front sight base set screw and began to unsrew the front sight adjusting screw, but it only unscrewed half way and then just spun freely. I tried pushing the front sightblade assembly out but it would not budge! I need to remove this assembly to tighten up the front sightbase set screw. This is a very beautiful rifle that I got from Ellisons Military Rifles and I thought I'd ask for help/ advice before I take a hammer to it. Ellisons did give me the phone # of aguy to call but I am having a hard time getting ahold of him. This should be a simple task but I fear that the sightbase set screw is jambing the blade assembly from comming off or the blade adjusting screw is goobered up. If anyone has experience with Hakims I would appreciate your imput.
