I was just cleaning my #1 MKIII because I hadn't done a great job of it last time I shot it and I realized this is one of my favorite rifles out of all my rifles.

It's from 1917 and frankly it shows. The wood is black with age, there's dings everywhere but they are smoothed out from so many hands over the years. The metal is about 10%. There's a ton of cool proof marks and crowns and swords all over it. The bore is just a tad dark but no pits and the rifling is still great. It's really a true work of art.

This thing shoots better than alot of my rifles. It's more accurate than many of my AK's, SKS, Mausers, Mosins. It really shoots great and I just love it. If only it could talk and tell me the story behind all the men who used it since 1917. This is one of those old rifles that just has really good vibes about it. I think this rifle
did good for every person that used it. I don't get that feeling from rifles often but with this one I do. I think this rifle helped carry its men home safe and sound.

Well, I just had to say I love my Enfiled. Here she is, the one in the center, stock covered by stoopid cat's neck.
