1. My local gun dealer overcharged me on a holster set up for my Walther PPK. It was on a credit card so I took the overcharge out in merchandize. As I walked around my eye caught on this Mauser that looked somewhat familiar. It looked like my Spanish 1917 (7mm) but looked brand new. He had it in an old barrel for $95.00. I figured it was a copy of an old mauser but it filled the bill for what they owed me. I brought it home intending to make a deer rifle out of it.

2. Next issue of American Rifleman I saw an advertisement for Mitchell's Mausers. I was intrigued so I checked and sure enough this was an m-48. I sent away for the accessories which ran about 45.00 and this is what I got for it.

Nice. There's a ton of these on the market in unissued condition like yours. Usually runs between $150-$180 for that condition (although if you visit Mitchell's Mausers they'll be alot more than that). These are a must have IMO. After they dry up, you'll probably never see them like this again.
