I'd say my two Russian SKS's and my Enfields. Can't have just one favorite. The SKS are both excellent condition and are quite nice shooters.

Dear Fellow Members-Although I own 4 Mausers,a CZ-52, a Makarov,4 SKS's and 7 Mosin-Nagants,my SA marked 1915 Tula is my favorite!Had to go through 4 M1891's to get this one and she is still a parts gun.Had to refinish a 1916 Sestroryetsky stock, since the barrel that came with it is a tomato stake (too bad since it's a Ses.)Got an SA marked 1915 Tula barreled action from Rick Reich and had to clean her up and cold blue everything.Bought and hand-fitted the correct French Locking ring bayonet for her and blued a nice repro cleaning rod from TAPCO.My crazy Iranian mechanics had to heat the bolt handle and bend it back to it's original 90 degree position. She always gets comments and looks at the range. My .02 worth:)-Gearhead

Well I can't decide. All of my Frenchies look great and shoot very well. My two Mausers are very nice in their own regard. All my Mosins are definetly Da Bomb. Hmmmmm. I guess right now I'll go with my MAS 49/56. That is until I finish working over my Ufixem 91/30's.

My M91/30 PU:cool:
My 1903A3<-----Is that on the list? If yes then that's what it is. If not it would be my Enfield #5 jungle.

Your question is impossible! I've got Swedish Mausers, German / Yugo Mausers, Enfields, Mosin Nagants, Garands, Springfields and a Schmidt-Ruben (still waiting on that one to get in but you guys probably already know that)!
How can I pick? Let me think here . . . . . . . . ! Ok, I think I have an answer. My Numero Uno El Grande Pick has got to be my 1903 Springfield type rifle made by Rock Island Arsenal. Its a WWII rebuild with a scant grip type stock and a HS for High Standard 4 groove barrel!
Now why the Springfield 03 / RIA you might ask. Answer, because it is MINT in the truest sense of the word. Because it cost my only $375 and because it will shoot better than MOA sized groups off of sandbags with M2 Ball ammo!
I took it to a High Power match and used it on a 600 yd. match 2 years ago. After I got the sight settings down it was holding the 10 ring and in fact I shot the marking disk through the spindle that goes through the last bullet hole. Only rifle I have that put a second shot throught the same hole at 600 yds! No BS either I really did it. I kept that disk and it's in my shooting box.

On Mondays I prefer my Mosins. Which one is a toss up. On Tuesday I'm a Turkish Mauser fan. Wednesdays find me waxing eloquently about the virtues of the VZ-52. Thursday is SKS day, though really I like AKs better. Friday is the day I debate odd calibers and wierd origins, so that's Swiss, Jap and French day.
Hmmm, if I was forced by fire or famine to keep one only, it would be the one I could sell for the most money so I could start all over! :D

1. My 1917 (7mm) Spanish Mauser, only because it was my first rife and I took down my first deer with it.

My two Swede M-38's. Awesome shooters, highly accurate and in darn close to like-new condition. One has a disc rating of "0" and the other "1", but the rifling in each looks exactly the same. These are the best Mausers ever made...no doubt about it...but that's my opinion. The 6.5 caliber is also great. Shoots flat, long and powerful, plus a good hunting cartridge for up to elk in size.
Everyone has their own favorites, as I am sure you can see with the many responses. I've been collecting for a number of years. I just like the Swede's the best, but there are a lot of really fine C & R's out their with some very proud owners.
