i had a complete lower from them.i sold it because of the crappy LPK they used.
the selector trigger assm was not right, and the bolt stop was very hard to depress.
i replaced it with a stag.and more since.

The real question is did it leave the factory assembled or was it a stripped lower that someone assembled with miscellaneous parts?

So your just parts?
DoubleStar Corp
02-27-2006, 10:07 AM
No, we have 2 companies, Double Star Corp. which offers complete rifles, stripped and complete lowers, 1911 frames, and complete 1911's, and J&T Distributing which sells parts, kits and accessories.
My question was did it leave us as a stripped lower that someone else completed with random parts or if it came from us complete. If it came from us complete and the components were crap then I go back to the log and find who built that lower and give them hell over it. If it left as a stripped lower then I can't control who assembled it or with what components, so it's not a reflection on my company.

Just Got My 20" Dsc Upper Yesterday. Fit And Finish Is Good. Put It All Together And Fired It Today. Groups Were Decent And The Barrel Still Needs Broke In. Price Was Better Than Most. Good Job Dsc.

Not really my business but I.M.A. there are so many variables that can cause someone to be pissed with there experience with a gun or parts of one..especially when you take parts from all over and build a gun with only those parts and not a selection of parts you can fit..also if there just slapped together like a lego set and clearances arn't checked then you can get frustrated and blame the gun..its the same with engine building.just because the parts are there it doesnt mean someone wont assemble it and wreck all those good parts from improper clearances and assembly..Im not siding one way or another im just saying if someone builds there own gun they need to check everything and make sure the parts and clearances are compatible..
everyone tells me dpms are shi* but ive owned two of there uppers with flawless track records and my 24"stainless 1/8 easily shoots under 1/2 M.O.A with complete reliability and ive still got alot of improving to do with my shooting and loading technic..today they might put out the worst product on the planet,,I have no idea.but before I say something is shi* I will try to see if its something im doing wrong before I blame someone else..im not pointing any fingers when I say that im just saying it does happen. :salute:

she's a weapon I tell ya! smooth as can be and very reliable.im sure some of it was luck(parts purchases)but alot of it was taking the time to check the harmony between components..I LOVE MY HEINZ 57:)

I am an armorer for the P.D. I work for an also do LEO builds for other officers. I have built 150+ guns and repaired many more in the last 20 years. I used to use Olympic Arms parts but have used J&T/Doublestar parts for the last 10 guns. I have seen no problems with parts or quality. Best of all is the customer service. I have had a small part missing from a kit on two occasions. I called them up and it was taken care of with no B.S. or hassles. Thanks J&T! Your rifles are great.

The site is being totally redone with new shopping cart software, so the database had to be redone from scratch. We're looking at anoth 1-2 weeks before launch.

I received one of their 24" blackened, fluted, stainless high
rise upper varmint kits a couple weeks ago. The upper rec is super tight with the lower when trying to push in the rear pin. The lower is a SOCOM milled lower.
I am waiting on a scope to install before I shoot it. I just ordered a Barska 10x40x50 tactical that should be here sometime this week.
The kit is QUALITY through-out, my dealer built up the lower for me and commented that it was the best made kit he had seen in a while, that made me feel good about going with DSC on this build.
With the Harris BRMS bi-pod, this should be a 500yrd. weapon easy. With a 1/8 twist barrel, I hope to shoot
55 and 62 grn. but would prefer 62 all the time.
