1. This is my first one. I just purchased a second for $800.00. It is still at the Gundealer. I havent picked it up yet.

2. A highly accurate and powerful weapon. I carried one in the Navy. But also a very heavy and complicated weapon compared to the AK. Used to be my only love till I cheated on her with my first AK.

Possibly the most accurate semi-auto MBR ever built. I lust for one myself. As a fellow Navy vet, I have quite a bit of nostalgia for the ol' gal. It was always a treat to see them still in service. Do you know of anyone who offers parts sets?

Cheers!

1. This is a rebuild from Navy Surplus. I was pals with a GMG1 and he got me all the parts I needed, (legal of course). I do know a dealer in Texas that should lead me in the right direction though. Keep an eye for a post.

Yes, I love the M1A too. Pretty accurate but the sights really are what set it apart from the FAL's and HK91 type weapons. They have the same powerful 1,000 yard + capable cartridge but have only midrange capable sights IMO.

To me the M1A puts it all together in one package!

Sweet. That makes it even more worth it. Say, I guess this is the best place to ask it now: how many of us are USN vets? I joined up in 1984, did my 6 as an ET-AEF and mustered out. Too stressful... Now I work at a newspaper in information systems. And that wasn't supposed to be stressful? ;)

Cheers!
