Seems like a decent price for a cheap .308 if they will clean up. I was going to get a turk and convert it but this might be a better choice, at least cheaper.

Yeah, they say these were originally chambered in .308. I'd like to hear more about these too.

Are those the Israeli ones? They aren't C&R (at least I don't think they are) but they look very interesting!

Sad to say they are beat to death or at least the 6 that I've seen over the last 2 years were.

Bores usually shot out completely. Ironically I saw a guy going through a show with a K98 barreled action slung over his shoulder a couple of months ago. It had no stock or bolt. It turned out to be an Izi .308 chambered K98. The bore was in Excellent almost mint condition!

Sad irony that the only one with a shootable bore I've ever seen had been stripped of it's bolt and stock! :eek:
