Here are the statistics on 5 brands / types of 7.62 X 54 R surplus or new production ammo.
Hi = Highest speed recorded, Lo (no brainer here), Av = average speed, ES = Extreme spread, the difference between the fastest and slowest shot. SD = Standard deviation. This is how much any shot is likely to vary from the average.
All results are in feet per second.
