Well, after my horrid M91/30 from Samco that was "VG" I was leary of another $59. VG rifle. But it came today.

The blue on this rifle is about 95%. Wood will clean up nicely(the entire gun is soaked in cosmo) It as minor dings and one long dent/scratch that I hope will raise up with an iron. It's not a gouge that looks like the wood it missing but more of a depression so I'm hopeful. Have not swabed out the bore yet but the rifling looks strong through the cosmo. Got a nice bayonet with it and the cleaning rod was there in the white. Is that how they came originally? Front site hood is missing.

Nothing on this rifle matches number wise except the receiver and rear sight. :( I guess I really did'nt expect it to. Are there matching $39-$59. Turks out there? The ones I have seen especially the $39. did not match.

When I first pulled this out of the box I thought the front handguard was broken off. It is open on the front part towards the muzzle end. The Yugo's have the full handguard. This is how it's supposed to be right. It does'nt look broken.

Anyway this was a good $59. purchase. Now I have something to shoot the Turk ammo in :D

Oh I forgot to say, this one came from Wholesale G&A.

Congratulations, mine had an almost bone dry stock. All the cosmo was/is on the inside. My cleaning rod is in the white also. Didn't know they came with a front sight hood. Mine is just a bare blade on it's base. Hope you like it. What year did you get? Mine's a 1945 KKale.

I have had my Turk '93 since I was a kid, literally!
I bought it thru the mail, without a C&R when I was 18. I know little about these rifles and they will make an excellent "pick of the week" thead in the future.

BYW that gun cost me 35 dollars in 1985 so prices haven't changed much on these.

RS, mine is also '45 Kkale

On the front sight. I have a blade on a base but you can see notches on the sides of the sight base where a hood would go like the Yugo's have.

Does yours have any matching numbers?

Yeah, they all have a 1 somewhere in them. Seriously nothing matches and I just looked again, it's a 1941 not a 45.

Richard, I have taken this rifle almost all the way apart(see my post on the front barrel band) and on closer inspection, there is no provision for a sight hood. At first glance I thought there was but I was mistaken.
