7.62x39 ammo is pretty common. Some of the advertisers here have good prices on it. I suggest AIM & Sportsman's Guide at the link below.

I'm with you on this one Brian. I just tried every sponsor for this site to find bulk Wolf 7.62x39 in any tip with everything on backorder! I've been noticing this for the past few weeks and am almost ready to buy a case from GanderMtn.:loops . Is everyone buying ammo or is it just really hard to get some of the worlds most produced ammo :Imconfuse ?

I bought some ammo awhile back that came in a tin can like a sardine or ham can and came with a key to open it up. I think it was a 1000 round case. Does anyone know where to get this stuff now. I would think it would store really well.

Word from Wolf is appearently they had a super huge order and are behind in their production. From what I heard, they expect to be caught up sometime the middle of next month.
By the way:
Welcome to the group, Bri0n21 and int660!!!!
You might try www.clearviewinvest.com They have 1000 rd case for $99 +shipping.

Must be something up ince the only place I can find 7.62.39 ammo is at Wal-Mart and that's about $9-14 for a box of 20 rounds.... American made Remington or Winchester ammois good, but not THAT good!

I just bought a good bit at Gander Mountain Outfitters. Olympic Arms 40 rnds per box at $4.79/per box. That's pretty cheap for a sporting goods store. Wolf ammo at Dumham's is $3.95/20 rnds. Wal Mart only has Remington at $9 per 20 rounds. Easy to blast away the kid's college tuition at those prices. I never use up less than 300 rnds on a given trip to the range with an SKS and WASR

I've had pretty good luck at gun shows lately. Runs about109.00 per 1000,but no freight which seems to be going up every day, the cost of deisel fuel being what it is.
