They didn't ship my K98 from last month because they're out of the danged things. They have them 'in bond' right now so they're supposed to call me when they ever show up. Thought you'd like to know, whos2know.

neil, are you talking about the Czech M98/22 in VG for $99.97?
I got one of those a couple weeks ago and it is in quite nice shape. The barrel is fabulous. That's the one I said had a really dry stock with a few dings and came with an arabic sight leaf.

I'm refering to the German/Yugo K98 'predutze 44' like what whos2know got awhile back. These were in good condition for $89.

If it's the later... YOU GOT MY RIFLE!!!

What does "in Bond mean"? Might it mean "In Bound"?

I thought it was a custom's term. Just like booze bottles say 'bottled in bond'. i never understood that term either.

I think it means customs has them bonded, ie, tied up, until they give their all mighty approval to release them.

LOL Zouave...... :D
In Bond is a customs term;I've never fully understood it as a truckdriver occasionally intoand out of Canada....I think it refers as another said they are/will be in a warehouse waiting for proper clearence/check by customs of the paperwork ect......?

When I delivered freight into Canada, everything on the truck was in "bond".....We'd stop at Canada customs hand in all the bills, proceed to our terminal with the freight.I suspect that the freight would sit at the terminal till the paperwork was checked out??
