Centerfire and IO have or will have kits, but who's got recievers?
What about centerfire's 19.00 w/purchase soumi kits, anybody got one yet? Are they buildable or just a waste of money?
I've got this link to blanks and 80% recievers but was wanting something complete.

to build a semi PPSH you will also need a trigger set and a modified bolt and longer barrel.. at this time no one has a complete kit out to sell..

the cut recievers have a piece thats about 5" long that is not included in the kits
they cut from just above the ejection port back to the rear of the reciever ,, you dont get that piece.. and if you look at the ads you will find that the front trunion is cut or missing.. I-O stated this in one ad i seen in ShotGun News..
Cold Steel makes a trunion and a very nice looking 80% reciever

CFS's Soumi SMG parts kit for $19.95, with other parts kit purchase, is a good deal. Using the $19.95 Soumi parts kit to make a dummy SMG is a very low price for a display SMG. I received a "new" Soumi parts kit with my order, with beautiful bluing on all the metal and a faultless stock.

If you intend to make a semi-auto from the Soumi parts kit, you should throw away the DEWAT receiver parts and switch to a tube receiver. You will most likely need to have some experience to do this.

If I could get Soumi parts kits by themselves for $19.95, I'd buy a couple more for dummy display SMGs.

Pexis has an outstanding repair section, but it does require an intact trunnion. Do not do business with southern trading. That sell complete junk.

This is the best source for a receiver.

That guy makes really nice stuff. If you go over to Weaponeer and look at the semi conversion forums, he makes really nice stuff.

Do NOT even think about buying anything from Southern Trading. He is the biggest crook on the internet and the worst fabricator ever. There have been a multitude of posts about him - all negative -on the Sten forums and even here on Gunsnet.

I'm sure it's a quality 80%. But wow, I can't spend $200+ on a $20 kit. Then again, I'm cheap :)
