Everything is clean and the stock is drying. Here's what I see now that all the cosmo and the initial excitement are gone. The finish is a dark black enamel? Mine is very uniform and quite smooth. Not as smooth or shiney as bluding but very nice. The I/O marking is not as nice as a factory stamping. It may be electropencil but it is uniform and nicely done. No sloppy shit anyway. The barrel is quite bright. I originally thought it was chromed based on the appearance and the statement in I/O's SGN ad. Whatever the case may be it is clean with strong rifling. As stated by another individual over at gunboards, "This isn't like new, it is new". Barrel is threaded and TG is milled to my eye. There are electropenciled numbers on the internal parts that do not match the serial numbers stamped elsewhere. Don't know what that's about. The buttstock is nicely stamped with the serail number on the left side. Mine appears to have been test fired and that's about it. I still think this is the nicest C&R i've gotten to date. Money well spent IMHO. Pics on Monday after she's all together I hope.

2000 posts. Way to go! As far as the Forum goes it's a team effort that's for sure.

Congrats Zouave!

I can't wait to get my hands on my 59/66!

PS- Richard, have you ever stated the mag capacity? Marstar's ad listed them as five rounds, but I figured that was a canuk deal or a misprint.

10 rds, original military configuration. I believe the ones imported to Canada had a block in the mag to restrict capacity to 5rds.
