I have some old guns and am considering selling them. Not doing it to "make a living", instead I want to get my small business off the ground and to do so means I need the green stuff for equipment.

I have received a couple of quotes on one of the rifles, but I'm unsure of how realistic they were & I no longer have them.

Who do I talk to and what do I do?

topolover, you might try a couple of things that might give you and idea of a firearms value. First, try visiting the various online firearm auction/classified websites like:

http://www.gunbid.com/index.php?
http://www.gunsamerica.com/
http://www.gunbroker.com/
http://www.auctionarms.com/

By doing so you can possibly find the same or similar firearm to get an idea of what it might be selling for. You can also post information specifically describing the firearm in question in this forum and someone may be able to reply with some value reference from either printed information or their own personal experience. Hope this helps!

Why not check the auction sites and see if any are listed. Also you can use The Blue Book of Gun Values as a guide.
