I am getting a Sten here pretty soon and I have no use for a dummy gun. I'd like to make a LIVE one. Semi, of course. Prexis has the tube I need but I get mismatched info about turning the bolt down and welding a block in the trigger housing. I found a good page on demilling the kit.

I get garbled info on AR15 firing pins, machining the bolt, AR15 FCG's. I just need to make sense of it all. I will also be getting a SUOMI or a PPSH. Don't know which yet.

Somebody, PLEASE help......... :drink:

This is the receiver tube I intend on getting if it will work. I am awaiting some information from another source before I jump into it.

I couldnt pass up the MK III at $80.00, I've always liked these rifles....just something about that sideways magazine.

Anyone know if the skeletinized(sp?) buttstock from the MK II will fit the MK III ? I think I like the look of it better.

:nothing The T-stock, Loop-stock and pistole grips will fit your MKIII. I think the MKV wood butstock will fit as well.

I am trying to get the machine work farmed out to someone who actually knows what they are doing. Looking at talking with guy tomorrow or Monday. If anyone is interested, I can share what he tells me.

I'll definately contact you. Would you happen to have any pics of your products ?

Looks like now I will need to get a "loop" stock as I want my semi-auto build to look EXACTLY like this:

That is a piece of art !!!! I love its simplicity. Its sad really, the parts for a semi- build make it more complex than the full auto. Funny how things work out.

The kits I have have T-Stocks and steel bolts. They will look like your pic with that exception. As mentioned, these kits are some of the older imports which are saw cut, not butchered by torches.

Unfortunately, I don't have a camera and even if I did, my computer is not capable of uploading pics anyway. Guess I need a new computer.

The (DOM) tubes I have are .095 wall thickness, making the I.D. along the range of about 1.3 inch. Cut the mag and trigger opening and weld things together.

I talked to the guy at www.landsden.com and he pretty much told me that the work is not worth it. He said pretty much everything in the kit cannot be used for a semi-build.
To all you machinists out there, he did say he will be offering up plans soon to build a semi-sten on his website in about a month. He also said he will be offering parts for the MG-42 as well.

No luck so far but I am determined.
Oh yea, he said he is submiting his plans to the batfe to get approval but he sees no problems with it.
