I have two rifle I am look at replacing the stocks on. One is a MN m44 from early 1945 (I think I asked about this one once before, but I don't recall). It has a wooden stock and I need a replacement handguard for it. Should I replace the handguard only or the whole stock. I want to stick with wooden furniture.

The other one is a Norinco SKS, and it has a RamLine plastic stock, and while I have been thinking of returning it to wooden furniture, I'm not thinking of just getting a newer type of stock, one tha's a folder. One problem I have with the RamLine stock is it's about an inch too long and makes it difficult for me to hold the stock.

What kind of prices am I looking at on these stocks and whose the best place to hit up for them? As for the wooden furniture for the m44, if anyone here has ione they are willing to part with for a reasonable price, I'd buy from them instead.

Like an idiot, I finally remembered my mistake- I was going to post pics. Makes it easier to understand the damage I want to fix.
