This is great. Got my Mark 3's today and they look great for a WWII era rifle. Barrels look good with strong rifleing...too bad they will probably get replaced unless I do an SBR.
Heres a pic of them just after my order from cheaper than dirt arrived.

They look great to me, I can't wait to build them just as soon as I figure out how to make them semi-auto.
Speaking of which, Am I the only one here that is trying to get a semi-auto Sten built ???? :thud: The information is vague at best. I guess I can sit on them a while but I get impatient...would love to see how to get an AR trigger assembley to work in there.

Kits came from www.cheaperthandirt.com and were $80.00 each. They are saw cut (not the torch). Order arrived alot sooner than I expected from CTD. Also got me a couple boxes of that Hornandy TAP ammo for my Glock 19. Interested in trying that stuff out.
BTW, the ONLY dissapointment I have about these kits is that the "flaps" were cut off, I kinda wanted them.

Quick comment about Cheaper Than Dirt. I noticed in their website they are selling these Stens for 60 bucks but the catalog has them listed for 80. I called them thinking I could get this taken care of and maybe get 40 bucks of store credit from them but nooooooo..... They lady on the other end just told me that prices vary from website and the catalog... This is sounding like BS to me. I can understand 1-5$ here or there, but 20 bucks ????? :later

Its too bad they screwed me, I liked CTD but now I can't order from them again. I know I should have checked the website but its much easier for me to browse the catalog when I am at work. I hate navigating that big ass website. I guess you live and learn.

I just wonder why they did me this way. I mean, thats a BIG difference in price. Plus, they just pretty much told me to suck it up... so I did, just wanted to let all you guys know so you won't get burnt like I did.

I got burned by them about five years ago. I don't even consider doing business with them anymore.

They screw me, I screw them out of all my future business with them. They are the big loser, IMHO.

Did the kits come with magwells? I didn't see them in the pics. Or are they in the bags? :losingit:

Ejectors are another thing that can be left out accidentally.....

Mk3 ejectors are removable, so you should have them.

The magwells are in the bags. I think the ejectors are still attatched to the magwell.

Just my opinion, I am not on the pistol bandwagon. The Sten would look nasty as a pistol. The only rifle build that I have seen that looks decent as a pistol are the krinks.

Sportsmansguide sells the paratroop P grip..

just weld it on.

If you weld it on, you will never be able to remove the INNERS.

I envision the pistol as a Sterling type set-up with the pistol grip further forward. It will give a better balance as well.

The inners can then be held in by using a "rear cap" instead. A simple S & W 76 SMG type rear cap would be the easy way to go, i.e. a 1/2 inch thick section of steel bar, with it and the receiver drilled to accept a 1/4 inch bolt from the top. Accomadation will have to be made for the end cap extension, such as a buffer so it will not hit the new rear cap.
