I am wanting to buy from Cheaper than Dirt the BMF activator fast fire crank that attaches to the trigger guard. Does anyone have one and what do you think. Part 2... I see Butler creek, Eagle and RamLine HiCap mags. I read in the other post that the 50 round RamLine should be avoided so is there one that feeds or works better than the other? Looks like a fun setup.

Butler Creek mags have proper feed lips, either in a self-lubricating "HotLips" or metal, just like the Ruger OEMs. I have the "Hot-lips" mags from BC and have run thousands of rounds through them (ok, I loaded them, my daughter emptied them through the 10/22) and they still are in perfect condition. Someone gave me a RamLine mag, and although it has functioned ok, it doesn't get 1/4 the use of the BCs, and the hard plastic feed lips are chipped and worn. Stick with the Butler Creek Hotlips to save a couple of dollars, or the Steel lips if you want mags that will out last you.

I have heard bad things about that trigger crank. :thumbsdow

The Butler Creek 25 round hotlips are great...+1!

These mags are spendy...but will last forever and they work great:

Look over at www.rimfirecentral.com for group buys to save a few dollars.

Thanks for the sites, spendy but looks like quality.
What bad things have you heard about the crank?

There were some threads about it over at rimfire central. Basically the jist was that it is junk and not worth wasting any time on. Four rounds per revolution of the crank. Just a gimmick. Go there and do a search if you like.

I ordered the 25 round BC "red" hot lips (whatever that means) and the crank. I looked at the sites listed but there was no search I could find. I think this will make a fun rifle even more fun. The grapefruit on my backyard tree are getting bigger, they don't even know their fate.
