Here's my earlier post:
Well things couldn't get much better. Yesterday my boss tells me he gave the owner his two week notice. "Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya." Today I'm taking a comp day. Beautiful out. Now the BBT pulls up. The Turk arrived from WG&A. Thought it was my Yugo SKS from I/O. I forgot I even ordered the Turk. Such is the Cruffler Curse. Anywho it's nice. Non matching but what do you expect. Real dry but pretty clean wood. Almost completely dent free and only a hint of cosmo. Nice wood to metal fit and finish. Will need a really good sanding. Metal is 95-98%. No mangled screw slots. Dore is dirty but the rifling looks strong. Bolt is slick and the trigger is sweet. It's a 1941 K-KAL. Bayonet is VG with oil soaked wood. Scabbard is G+. Cleaning rod is in the white. Way different from my Persian. More of a workhorse of a rifle instead of a finely crafted firearm. The only kicker is they didn't give me my $10 credit so the rifle was $69.95 shipped. I faxed them a note along with a copy of the invoice for the rifle and a copy of the email where the webmaster gave me the credit. I know he wasn't in when I placed the order. Hopefully they will straighten it out without further ado. I may take it out tomorrow and give it a try although I'm already taking more firearms than I care to clean the same day. Anyway I'm a happy camper. Time to start supper as I'm the first one home. Lets see where are those little cards at? Chicken, fish hmmm better deal myself a hand.
Recoil is not bad at all. The only problem I have with this and my Persian Mauser is a sore check. Something about the stock or the way I hold them causes my check to get slapped by the butt. After a 70rd bandoleer I'm starting to swell and get pretty tender. Other than that I've got no problem with them. HTH

I have a '93 Turk. It doesn't kick to bad. The Turk Mausers are long and kind of heavy and that seems to tame down the recoil a bit.

Here's some advice from me, who just got one of these from the same place you just ordered yours. But this advice is good no matter where you buy.
Before you do anything to the rifle as far as clean up etc.... You clean the bore thoroughly. I'm talking with bore cleaner and a brush. I looked down the bore, looked fine. After I had started the degrease process etc, I discovered some pitting.
My brother looked down the barrel of this gun last night and he said it does'nt look like pitting. So I will shoot it and see what happens.
I will post some pics tomorrow so you know kinda what to expect. the rifle is real clean on the outside, except the safety is kind of beat up.
