Century Arms had these in 'very good' condition about 5 months ago for under $80.
These are fairly rare so I suppose it would depend on how bad you wanted one, personally I wouldn't go more than $150 for the condition you describe.
From what I've read these were arsenal refinished and put in storage for backup. There is some confusion as to weather or not they are truely Bulgarian rifles. Some accounts say that they were refurbished in Bulgaria with Russian parts. The only arsenal mark from Bulgaria is the circle 10. Russian proof marks vary widely, circles,, x's, squares, commie hammer and sickles, then of course the arrow in star and arrow in triangle arsenal marks.

Here's some prices and grades from Allan's Armory:
'These guns were Russian MN91/30s cut down to carbine length during the cold war. Some say they were made in Bulgaria, but there is no solid proof of this. It is now widely accepted they were made in Russia. All are complete with cleaning rods. With no folding bayonet to add weight, these carbines make excellent "brush guns."

Here's one of Century's old ads:
'Mosin Nagant Model 91/59, Cal. 7.62x54R
These sharp shooting carbines are one of the rarest firearms ever made! These were converted from the M1891 and M91/30’s into a new carbine designated the M91/59! The new rifles were then carefully stored away for the invasion from the west - that would never come! Less than 25,000 of these rifles ever made! Barrel: 20.5, Overall: 39.75. Weight: 7.5 lbs. Condition: Very Good Price $110.00'

I picked one up about 5 months ago. I paid $100 for it a gun shop. Its one of my favorite rifles. Its in like new condition, and very accurate, even though its a carbine. I like it better than the M44, because you don't have the bayo stuck on the side. No need to worry about whether its more accurate with the bayo extended, and it doesn't feel as awkward. If you want a nice example of a Mosin carbine, then get one.
