I've been looking at night vision lately, particularly some of the monoculars in the 150 range. Are these worth anything? Can any of them be adapted to work with a scope? Who makes good night vision and for how much? Thanks to anyone that can shed some light on this.

I've got an ATN 1st GEN NV riflescope with an integral base for Weaver-style bases- have it on an AR15 Flattop). Has infrared illuminator attached. Works great for nighttime varmints. In $500 price range. Unless you are really well-heeled, and want to blow up to $8000 for the latest, greatest, and smallest, the ATN line is a great entry into NV equipment. Thev've got expensive NV scopes too......

How good is it? Can you make out objects reasonably well and at what distance? If Gen 1 is good enough, I'll probably just pick up a 150.00 monocular for now. I wonder if there's a way to put a night vision monocular on a regular scope?

I bought an ATN MK-6900 rifle scope last year and love it!! It's a gen 2+ and runs about 1500.00. I'm also looking at the monocular for 150.00. It should be fine for walking around in the dark and not running into stuff.
20-10 vision, I used to have it, still do, but only with help. ;)
