I'm thinking about getting the K8 AR-15 from Oly arms.

What's Oly quality like?
How's the company to deal with?

Anyone own a K8?
Do you like it?

Thanks.

I don`t own the K-8 but I do own a 1989 Oly Car-15 and found the company very willing to help you with all your needs.
My guns lower was wornout after many years of shooting they replaced all lower part and gave me a brand new no sear block reciever with new logo for 85.00 with my serial #`s on it and destroyed my old worn out one and charged me nothing for all internal parts just the reciever swap.
Now i have a brand new lower for 85.00

You tell me if they`re OK

I had a PRC-02 HVY barrel Car-15

Ran perfect Except it hated White Box Win .223 from walloworld.

Put close to 5K rounds through it in less than 2 years.

I've got a pre-ban AR-CAR A2 that's been running fine for 15 years. Only problem I've ever had was several FTF's when I first got it. Traced to problem to one particular magazine, tossed it, and it's not had a glitch since...

I just bought a Oly K3B-Mil4-A3-TC and I love it! I loaded it with a Bi-pod, laser and flashlight, and it really looks cool :killemall . As a matter of fact I'm kinda wussing out on putting any rounds through it... it just looks too good all brand new and all...
Anyway, they have a lifetime warranty so kinda hard to go wrong...
Good luck buddy!

I had one of their dissapator style rifles before the ban ended and had no problems with the weapon. I purchased a K3B about a year ago and have yet to pull it out of the rack and shoot it, but im sure it will give no problems. It came in a nice lockable hard case.

The only issue ive had with them was returning a barrel kit i bought that the front sight was out of alignment. They implied the FSB was ok and within spec. I disagreed, but they sent me a new barrel assembly anyway. I believe they get overlooked alot by potential AR purchasers due to bad press from the Bushmaster/Colt crowd.

Wow, finally some activity in this folder . Been dead in here for a while.

Yeah feel the same about my K3B.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm leaning heavy toward a K8 purchase.

The only Oly I own. It took a while to get it to run right but she is fun now!!!

I have had it since before 1994!

I own an oly, no problems, upper and lower receiver fit very tight together, hell i can't even get an accu wedge in. as for the company I have only called once and I thought the service was fine.

Sweet!

Have sold several Oly Arms rifles and pistols. And never had any problems with any of them. They have made a bunch of my customers happy.

They make great guns at affordable prices.

The new K23 pistol they have out is really nice too.

have an Oly .45 upper ( on a RRA lower,) with 4000 rds of Wolf FMJ and about 500 rds of cast lead reloads through it. eats everything. Oly is good in my book. on an odd note, the finish looks slightly purple compared to the lower.

Picked up a 2005 Olympic shorty at a pawnshop . It came with a nC star 3x9x42 scope. This AR shoots more accurately than the AR's I had back in the 80's and early 90's and I had Colts! Lifetime warranty too.

They are gtg. Don't recommend the cast lower though. Their barrels are also fantastic. Mine had really tight chambers, after that was worked out shot and ran great!
