Well I have one of the Super Star B which may or may not be a C+R ;which is an updated version of the Star....As to whats been changed,I think minor differences like maybe a loaded chamber indicator?I'm guessing as I haven't been able to find any info on the differences....
Anyway the Super Star B is my most accurate handgun in MY hands.I like the feel, ect. of 1911 type pistols the best.If you can get one in VG or better,I'd get it.

I have one of the Star Model B pistols that you are asking about Misguided. I purchased the original from SOG and it wouldn't chamber a round if you loaded more than 7 in the magazine. It was also dangerously inaccurate. I exchanged that one and SOG promised me a free hand pick. The second pistol wouldn't chamber a round if more than 6 rounds were in the magazine and the finish was even worse than the first. I'm on my third Star Model B from SOG now. This one will fire with the magazine loaded with 8 rounds most of the time and only has ftf and ftx occasionally.
When it is working correctly it is pleasant to shoot. If you have the opportunity to fire the pistol before purchasing you should and don't buy it from SOG unless you like paying shipping fees to return poor merchandise.
My favorite affordable C&R pistol is the CZ-52 if you don't mind the recoil and odd ammo caliber.
