Buddy of mine bought a Witness .45. Really nice weapon. I shot it today and it is pleasant to shoot and accurate. He did try to warn me about one problem but I ignored it. He was right! OK... the problem... every few ejected cases hit the shooter right square in the forehead! Most hit you on the shoulder but a few go where they are supposed to. Is this normal for the Witness? What will fix it? Any help? DeputyVaughn? Anybody?

I have owned a Witness compact in .45 that didn't have that problem, I now have a Witness compact in 10mm and it ejects normaly too. I would check the ejector and extractor over. ;)

Mine threw brass right and forward but all over. A little time with the extractor and some emory cloth to reshape the claw will help with that. I've never been able to get "S&W" consistency from my extractions either.
