Just bought a new 16" barrel Olympic Arms Ar. I was wondering before I shoot it at the range what to expect for grouping. I plan on installing a 3x12-44 scope on it. What should I expect at 100 yards. Also will shooting ground hogs at 300 yards or so be a problem ? Thanks

Chrome lining? No chrome lining? What ammo will you be using?

The ammo I have no idea I will try different till I find one that shoots good. Probably start out with Hornady v-max. Barrel is not chrome. Didn't look like any of the Olympic are chromed.

You will not like my other post, but Seller & Bellot has been good to me. Hornady is another good choice for long distance varments.

I have a 2005 Olympic shorty . Barrels are chromed according to their website where youm can get all info about their rifles. I hvae a NC Star 3x9x42 scope on it and it will nail a railroad tie plate at 150 yards with 62 grain British SS109. Also quite accurate with other ammo such as Balck Hills 60 grain, UNltraMax , winchester 55 grain from Walmart and even BArnaul 62 grain HP. REally impressd with this shorty AR15.
