Anyone shooting one? I''m considering building one for a hog gun for Texas. anyone have any suggestions.

Until just recently ammo has been almost non existant. Midway USA has Silver State ARMS and Hornady Ammo. A lot of people have been waiting almost 2 years. Uppers and guns are around. I personally am waiting for awhile longer before I jump in on 6.8.

FYI....Adco Firearms is also now selling the Remington 115gr OTM loads for $19 a box.

I also would wait a while longer to get in on the "6.8 thing". Especially since Wolf is going to be producing 6.5 Grendel ammo now.

It will be interesting to see which round gains more acceptance.

give me the 6.5 ,,wow that round goes the distance.but probably for your application i think you picked the right round.ive definatly been seeing the ammo around lately& the military has been using it with much success according to what ive been reading...BUT HOW ABOUT THAT 50 BEOWOLF??!! now that would put a stop to those HOGS..he he:) i dont know if that would fit your application or not but ,WOW!! i want one.that would be my ultimate MAINE hunting setup for deer/bear on my lower. good luck

Yeah, any of the rounds for the AR platform will play havoc on a hog . 6.5 will be more popular IMO. .50 BEOWULF sounds like FUN to me though.

BTW, we shoot hogs with .22 LR. No problem. No waisted meat. Carry on.

To dame early perhaps if all good you can start at end of the year it seams many of factory’s are getting ready for full production runs but now its only collectors round

OUCH!Falaker15 I didnt even think about that:)that 50 wouldnt leave much meat would it on a hog?? :losingit: he he! thats why im not a good hunter.I relax to much when I hunt,, its like im just out there to see one and if waits for me to setup my shot ill shoot it. :D I have fun but im like the worst hunter :lol:
