Dr. Fackler once wrote a scathing article on the 5.7mm round as a manstopper.
I suppose this kit wouldn't make a bad short to medium range varmint gun. Of course the ammo is MUCH more expensive that 5.56mm, even if you reload.
I definitely wouldn't have more confidence in 5.7mm than 5.56x45mm as a defense round. Might be interesting in an SMG sized gun though, for VERY close ranges.

I know the 5.7 round is not a man-stopper...
It just looks so damn cool, and the fact it poops the brass out the magwell is just spiffy. ;)

I complete agree there. Very neato design.....I just have zero interest in the caliber myself.
