I just wanted to say I have always had good luck with wolf regular 55gr fmj ammo but recently my cousen bought 1000 rounds of HP wolf55gr.it feeds awful in his eagle arms and it jams into the rifling in my dpms and wont chamber..ive measured it with a wilson case gauge and all is saami spec..I guess its just the shape of the bullet in relationship to my lands but in my gun it absolutely does not seat in the chamber properly and is dangerous..in my cousens gun it jams on the way up the feed ramp and mashes the tip..with my handloads he has no problems with his gun.. anybody else run into this.I thought I would at least mention it before someone orders a whole case of it and have the same problems we have. :dunno:

My girlfriend had a lot of problems running wolf HP through her carbine. I was better off hucking it downrange than firing it out of her gun. It just didn't like to function...
FMJ runs through her carbine like a top. Goes and goes.

I had the same issue with WOlf 55gr HP
Just the new stuff.
It would stick in the chamber, FTF , create a mess inside.
Ammo was in spec BUt I dont get it either.
Never had an issue wuth wolf .223 FMJ

thanks its nice to know.I looked at the bullet compared to a fmj and the hp is fat and almost balloon shaped.and the fmj is gradual and pointed.you wouldnt think it would matter that much but it sure as hell did in his eagle arms and I know there is nothing wrong with his gun or mags because we swapped them between 3 ar15's and they worked fine. :salute:
This is interesting. I've never shot the 55g hp, but the regular 55g FMJ works fine in my carbine and Colt AR rifle. However, the Wolf 62g FMJ has given me problems in both guns, FTF with annoying frequency. With Barnaul 62g BTHP I haven't had this trouble.
