Does anyone know what brand and type of ammo used by s.w.a.t. teams. Currious to know what my tax dollars are buying

They use all major brands in almost all weights depending on the unit, rifle, or mission.

TAP ammo is Hornady. Whether or not it's used by SWAT is anyone's guess.
I think it varies by department. TAP would be a good choice though.

I am willing to bet the majority of SWAT still use good ol FMJ or soft points because even though they are SWAT, they are still Police, and dont have an unlimited budget. Plus, because they have to deal with the public, people freak out when they hear "Frangible" and other specialty ammo types.

Being a member of my department's team, I can report that we use Hornady TAP 60gr exclusively. I can also report that I've bought more than I've ever been issued because as someone posted above, departmental budgets are constrictive and I can't see not switching ammo out at least once a year.
Overall, we've been happy with the TAP as far as accuracy goes, but the one person we shot with it didn't exactly shut down immediately. He received a double tap at roughly 12 feet through a kitchen glass door / shutter. One round struck his pistol, fragmented, and screwed his hand up. The second struck his abdomen, and part of that round was recovered after it traveled through the sheet rock bar wall and came to a rest in the dishwasher. The bad guy stopped shooting, but it took him awhile to decide that he wanted to give up. He did not, however, die.
I don't know if the glass and shutters that the round went through had an adverse affect on the terminal performance, but I wasn't overly impressed myself. When we finally made entry and took him into custody, he was bleeding, but the wound was pretty unassuming. It did booger his insides up pretty good though and it got the job done.
BTW, weapon was a Bushmaster M4 with a 14.5" barrel and pinned phantom FH. Semi auto only.

Federal 62. Grain Bonded. And at $169.00 per 200 Rnds it is only carry ammo.

It seems to me that a soft point load would be the best for a Swat team to use. The black hills 55 grain soft point load I used today at the club at 140 yards sitting drop them right in the center with iron sights out of a 20 inch HB Bushmaster. That soft point round surely will expand and good for urban setting. NYPD back in the 50's were staking out liquor stores that had been robbed. They had 30 carbines loaded up with Soft Point loads and were so effective in geting the bad guys that they had to stop using that Load.

If you believe all the ads in soldier of fortune, I'd say "eXXtreme shock!! anti-terrorist ammunition!!!". :D
One of my buddies is on the SWAT team here, due to a limited budget (as stated several time above) they use regular old 62gr ball ammo.
