Best place to start is Numrich Arms/Gunparts Corp

http://www.e-gunparts.com/

After that ask the guys on a 98k site

http://home.thezone.net/~k98k/start.html

Or the mauser boards on www.gunandknife.com

You can do it yourself or send it to FAT. I think he does them 39 $ or so. http://www.floridaammotraders.com/

I'm looking to bend the bolt on my 1938 Turk Mauser to try it in the new ATI stock. Does anybody have the instructions or a site?

Is a propane torch enough, or do I need a MAPP torch? Will heat-sink paste from Brownells required?

Obviously I want to do this right, and not ruin the strenght of the steel etc.

I am about to do the bolt on my gun when I get back from school. I am gonna do a full write up on my web page if you are willing to hold off.

Cool. I don't even have the ATI stock yet anyway. But one thing, do you know if a Benz-O-Matic propane torch is hot enough? Or do I need a MAPP gas rig?

Apologies in advance to any more experienced amatuer gunsmiths who are rolling thier eyes right now.
