1. OK, Im stupid or just like the quick way. Ive broken this girl down and Murphy Soaped the hell of it, then I dryed it and put just a lite coat of Red Mahogany back on furniture to give the aged look. She shows grain now but still dark. Im in the process of putting tru-oil gun finish on her to seal the furniture but,,,,,,
2. How the hell does one extract the bolt from this thing. It aint like the mauser. You guys got me into this curio collection now it's time to help me out:(

THE BOLT??? At the rear of the action, were the bolt ends it's travel there is a detent on the right side of the reciever, next to the bolt head. Let the bolt travel up a few inches, push that detent down, pull the bolt to the rear, rotate the bolt head to the left, and release the detent. Now pull the bolt clear. To install it push the detent down slide the bolt in the reciever and release the detent. Hope this helps. 8dDUCE.

Do you mean extra detachable mags for Enfields? If so, you will be my hero.
Be seeing you.

What's the plan? If I had access to the proper stamping equipment, I'd start making them. I have one per rifle here and have never seen them available separately...
Be seeing you.

I have an aquaintance whoo used to own a Pawn/Gun shop, he has lots of little extras to C&R weapons. People in Deland FL. do not like, buy or shoot "OLD HAS BEEN MIL SURPLUS JUNK." Their words not mine. Anyway, I am trying to get into his "STASH" HEHEHEH. If not I am Going to contact GIBBS RIFLES, or Empire Arms in Ormond Beach 10 minutes away. I bought my Swede 96 from Empire, in his house. Great guy, a well of knowlege. And cool to boot. 8dDUCE.

I haven't dealt with Empire, but I've been all over the website. Of course, Gibbs is right here in WV and only about 3hrs from me. Good luck getting the stash! I'm going to ask around about access to stamping equipment...
Be seeing you.

1. I got the bolt out thanks to your help. I have to steelwool it down as it has some rust on it. I have decided to blue it. I dont think the paint on it is good for a bolt.

1. Mine was painted. I tried to blue that which was bare after stell wool and it looked like shit. I settled for stripping it and using Advance Auto High Temp Black. Then I baked it for about 30 mins like a damn cake. I would much rather blue a gun.
2. Anyway it looks a lot better but the stock is still dark. I like a more grainy look but that ruins the antique quality of the gun. This is original, just cleaned up and re-painted. (Damn I hate saying that)

1. All my parts match also. She has No5 Mk1 u-king, then CAI St, VT on the barrel. Then on reciever she has 5mkitof(f) and 9/44 under it, then each part has r 7221 stamped on it.
2. It is pretty, I just hate paint. Never encountered it until I bought my Maadi. This is the first one I baked and painted though. I post pics when I put it back together.
3. This pic is as it came (Without the damn mag of course)
