Yeah I saw those to.Dunno what to make of them.

Those are/were Gallil orlite 35 rnders. He must have filled the front to somehow make a bullet guide and then fit them to the rifle. I've got four i've done up myself for my 223 Saiga. Mine are still in the durability testing/experimental stage. You can get new Orlites for $10 from CDNN and fit them yourself. I used JB weld reinforced with small bolt to build up the front. JB alone will most likely crack. So far so good.

Looking closer at the pic they don't seem to be altered much if at all.
