Beast is a very small operation and he moly coats his guns. I hear the lead times for him are long but the work good. Check out this link;

Personally, I would get Mark at ARS to do any work...he is amazing and his finish, Metacol III, is the best IMO.
The Suhl safety upgrade allows the pistol slide to be operated while on safety. The commander hammer is just that, a bobbed hammer with a hole in the spur like the 1911 version. If you are getting hammer bite this may be a good investment. They look pretty damned cool too. They are both drop in items that do not require smithing.

I have a complete custom Beast Mak. and really
it is a whole different gun,Novak sights, trigger
work,edges gone, with a dark grey finish. Shoots
like a dream,feels more like a 1911.
Having said that I will tell you Beast has many
medical problems and it took 7-8 months for my
gun. It's a choice is it worth the wait,while
very anxious waiting for mine I am happy with
it and it's a keeper.
