I got an mwg 50 rounder mag not too long ago for my ruger.

long story short, it jammed right outta the box. the first round jammed.
I was hoping to get a 50 round magazine that was better than the junk ramline i bought a while ago, and I thought that the mwg mag's 80$ price guaranteed high quality. I was totally ripped on that deal.

I'm only 15 and money is kinda hard to come by for me, so i was wondering if it would be possible/recomended to put a factory magazine's lips on the mwg mag, as that is the part that is always jamming. I cant afford a BC mag until i get a job, and besides, 50 reliable rounds would be nice.

I read something in the manual which told me to keep the bolt open when I load the mag, I did so and, believe it or not, it kept from jamming. Lately i've been shooting 40+ rounds from the mag using cheap ammo. I also found some work and bought a BC mag with a speed loader. Both brands work well for me, and I use cheap Federal and Remington ammo. Although the 80$ price for the mwg mag is still a bit high...
