H and R rifles ?

I'm cunfussed about the H and R SB2 handi rifle. You can buy diffrent barrels for the rifle. I personally want the .223, 44mag and 357 mag barrels. However on there web site it says one handi rifle shoots the 44mag ,and 357mag while the other shoots .223. Both are called the SB2 handi rifle. What gives? Can I buy a .223 barrel and have it work on a Handi rifle with a 357mag barrel?

You need to get a rifle in one of the larger more powerful calibers like .308 or .270, then you can have any barrel you want fitted to it. I bought one in .223 and they will not fit the larger caliber barrels to it except for the lower pressure calibers like .30-30 or .45-70. I will have to buy another rifle in .243 on up in pressure. BTW you do know you have to send in the receiver, and fore stock for each barrel, unless you order more than one at once, right? ;) :welcome: to TGN, post often.

Thanks! I knew about the barrel program. So If I want to be able to buy a large quantity of barrels a .308 is the way to go? I really want the barrels for 357mag 44mag and .223. By buying a .308 will it open more options on what barrels I can get?
