gas tube alone. It does not need to be cleaned. DO NOT put a damn pipe cleaner into a tube. I just spent 3 hour's trying to got a broken one out of a tube. This jerk broke off a long pipe cleaner inside a still hot gas tube. I finilly just ordered a new gas tube and will install it for him when it come's in. Gas tube's DO NOT need cleaning. The pipe cleaners are for the carrier key, and the firing pin race way in the bolt. :madnoel:

It's the gas port that gives me a headache trying to clean.

I use a shotgun slotted tip to clean the gas tube.

I never clean my gas tube or my carrier key unless I have shot Wolf. In taht case, I just stick a drop of oil in the key and shove the pipe cleaner up thru the rear where the port opens in to the carrier. All done.
