Hopefully I'll be sending off for my Danish Garand from the CMP at the end of the month. Who has the best deals on clips? SGN has a company called William Ricca who has new clips for $1 ea, 10 for $7.50 or 100 for $55.00. What A Country is about the same. J&G Sales has used @ 10 for $4.50. No idea how used. Anyone dealt with this Mr Ricca? www.BillRicca.com No showroom. He's out of New Tripoli, PA As always TIA.

I have never dealt with Bill Ricca but I haven't heard anything bad about him either. I think he is a regular poster at the CSP Garand forum, http://www.jouster.com/cgi-bin/garand/garand.pl
This past summer I bought two hundred for 65 cents each shipped from a guy on ebay. He must have a BUNCH of them since last I looked he is still selling them! They are mint condition. His ebay name is scanner15.
They are normally 50 cents each at the local gun shows here but the ones I see at the shows don't always look too great.

Unless you already have plenty of .30-06 ammo, you might try looking for some USGI already loaded on clips.
I bought two cans from CMP when I bought my M1 and I now have all the clips I'll ever need.
Unfortunately, CMP is out of the clip-loaded M2 Ball, but they still have the "boxed" M2 for $84 / 400 rds.

I've considered that approach but all I've seen is stuff on the auction sites that starts at $150 for 280rds. That's .54per rd before shipping. If I buy the ammo from the CMP it's .21 per rd. For the same amount of clips as I'd be getting in the 280rd batch I'd spend about $24.00. That puts the CMP at .26 per rd. Still half the price of buying the ammo on the clips. If anybody sees loaded ammo for less give me a holler.
