Good news :) I called the ATF and the rep said she'll have my C&R by this week, I also Called the Kali D.O.J., and the rep said I don't need any more paperwork unless I buy within Kali, and/or buy guns less than 50yrs old.
I made a wish list, and at the top are the Nagants: M91s, M91/30, and M44, and Mausers: Turk M38, Yugo/Bosnian M48, M48A, and Czech VZ24/47.
I want to start my collection with these rifles because they are all under $100 and some under$50. Can anyone tell me where can I find the best (shooter) quality (VG or better condition) at the best price? Also, how good are the "good" condition Turks and M91s or M91/30s out there? Any advise will be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance for your post.
Sincerely,
Breastman.

Good deal! That's great you don't have any more hoops to jump through. Sure couldn't tell that from the regs!
For those rifles, I would try AIM first and Century Arms second. The good conditions from Century can be substandard, sometimes they send out rusted out crap, other times you get VG. They have a fairly liberal return policy though.
Try to get one of those in wrap M44's from AIM or Century. I think AIM has VG M24's. Century has VG Turk M38's. Zouave got a couple of the M38's but he hasn't posted a report yet.
Alot of people are out of stock right now so you'll probably need to do some checking around. Then post a question as to how the company is and we'll all give our opinions and experiences.
I hate SOG the most but they have alot of stuff.

Hey Breastman,
I saw your wish list for C&R rifles and it looks great. I would make one addition to the list. You must get yourself a Finnish M39. I own a Russian M44 that is in mint condition and kicks like a mule. I own a 1944 Finnish Sako M39 in good condition that shoots like a dream.
I also picked up one of the Yugo M48's in unissued condition some time ago. These are great rifles also, but I would rate the M39 ahead of it.
Spend around $150 and get yourself an excellent Sako M39. You will not be disappointed. Take a look at Wholesale guns and ammo to find an M39 right now.
By the way... I too am a Breastman.

Oooh, I'm going to keep my eye on Century. Their email response sucks. so, I'll try a little telcon. I don't want to buy rust.
AIM. SOG gets a note.
