Is he hinting that more will be available, possibly in bulk? The mag certainly looks right.

Before it was erased a few days ago, I posted that was a unmodified m14 mag he has pictured.

For it to fit a saiga he will need to inlet the front sides 1/4" in, add a catch for the front of the mag so it can be held, and which also acts as the bullet guide that he is refering to. Then add a another prong to the backside for the mag catch to lock onto.

I've been able to get all that done on a 30rd but have had a problem with the position of the rear mag catch. With the thinner lips of the m14 mag I think I've got it sitting to high in the mag well. It will not strip the first eight rounds due to too much spring pressure or the rounds possiblly sitting to high. The next 22 rounds I've had no problems with.

If anybody is interested, once I get this perfected I'll post the pictures, measurements, and a how to.

Man, it sure would be nice if someone took some original drawings of the feed lips of those mags and then made some molds for hicap mags. That way we would not have to play that cut and fit BS game.
