The piston on the saiga-308 seems to be fixed on and is tight. The piston on my Slr-100 just has a pin and is loose. To my knowledge the piston should have a little play to it. Will the stiff saiga piston cause me any trouble. If so, how do I get the damned thing off to replace it?? It would suck if that stiff piston was to damage my bolt carrier. Regular 762x39 bolt carriers prolly wouldnt work with a .308. and i'm pretty sure you can't buy individual Saiga parts. Is this a prob. or am I just being paranoid?

The tight fit is just fine on a S-308.replacing is the pain in the ass part. You have to drill it out and replace with a new pin.
