Which is the correct grip type for the military Bulgarian Makarovs? Brown bakelite with lanyard loop or black zytel with thumb rest? Inquiring mimes want to know. :)

The black thumb rest types grips are German commercial manufacture and are added to allow the pistols to meet US import requirements. These are the issue grips that I received with my first Bulgarian that I received from CAI. I am not sure if the are Bulgarian made or not...there is no arsenal mark on them.
The brown ones in the PIC above are correct for the Bulgarian military version. The German military version has black grips. The Russian military version has brown grips that are very similar to the Bulgarian military grips. No military grip has a thumb rest.

Okay, got it. Had to order a fluted grip screw from Makarov.Com yesterday. Those German made sporter grips used an E-German grip screw, grumble-grumble. Anyway, good thing is I went and got some 7.62x25 snap caps they had left over from when AZoom was still producing them. Whoo-hoo! Reduced chance of dry firing my CZ52's and TT33. :D
