VEPR .308 vs. HK G3 .308 advice

I have been wanting to purchase a .308 semiautomatic and I have narrowed it down between the VEPR and G3. I have been told to stay away form the G3 variants because they are "Frankenstein" guns with various parts from various countries on a not so good American receiver. I haven't heard any negatives on the VEPR and it is less expensive and new in the box. Any help will be appreciated. If I am going to move on the G3 I guess I better hurry, so it's time for my FINAL ANSWER!

My $.02: unless a maximum 10 round capacity mag is a deal breaker,go with the Vepr. All new quality manufacture at a great price. Undisputed relability,and no used or suspect U.S. made parts to worry about. I love mine.
