I saw a VKT M39 today at the gunshow in Springfield. The gun had about 50-60% bluing left. coated in cosmoline, and the wood was well used, but not bad. it did have the cleaning rod, and the bolt was nice looking.

The dude was asking $150 for it. Is this a good price?

If it's not an unfair asking price, i was thinking of going back to look down the bore on it and make sure the rifling was crisp....

I really want one, and don't know of many places that stock my M39's....

Thanks for any help-

Shawn

DAMN!!! I bought a "B" barrel all #'s match, except the butt plate. For $150.00. It has 95% blueing and a gorgeous stock. Cleaning Rod included. 8dDUCE.

ya, seemed like it was a little high, but i can't find a decent place to order one recently. WG&A seems too high... are the cracked stocked Mosin's worth it? I really want a couple more M39's.

THanks-

Shawn

I can look at the place that I bought mine from, and give you an idea of price and condition. If you like it, you can get it transferd to an FFL up there. I AM VERY PICKY on weapons. I know the owner pretty good. I do not have an email or web address to the store on me, but I can get one. I got a "B" barrel there, I saw a couple of nice looking ones on a shelf in the back. Not too many people here in DeLand FL. collect MIL-SURPLUS weapons. So, I am sure it is still there. I looked at mine for over 3 months. They come from InterOrdenance. I can look if you want???? I will HAND PICK YOUR weapon PERSONALLY. 8dDUCE.

THANK YOU!

That is exactly what i want! All i want is a great shooter. I don't care if it's a SNEAK or VKT or SAKO, i just want one in good shape for a fair price. If you could look for me, I'd really appreciate it! The most important part is that the bore is crisp and in great shape. I want one with a mirror bore... the one i have has a tiny bit of pitting in it. I want one with a perfect or near perfect bore.

Thanks!!

YOU GOT IT!!!!! I WIL PICK THE BEST ONE OUT. I am extremely anal about bore and chamber conditions!!!!!! I will go Monday after work. I will see if I can hold it, and MAYBE get a picture, and try to post it for you. I am not sure if I can get a picture but I will try. Once I find one, you guys can work out the details. 8dDUCE.

If you can find one for about <$130 in good shape before shipping it'd be perfect!

I don't want to spend too much on one, and after shipping (around $10-20) and a transfer fee ($20) it'll make it a little more expensive than i was thinking of spending, but for $150-$160 and a garunteed good looking gun, I'd be really happy!!

Thanks a million!

I haven't personally but, allans gets a personal endorsement from Tuco over at mosin-nagant.net

Tuco has been around for a long time, he and his sight are very informative and helpful...he knows his shit.

If you want a 1st hand opinion, I'm sure people will be straight up with you over on the boards at www.mosin-nagant.net

I have bought probably 10 guns from Allan and he is top notch! Every gun I have received so far has been better than he described. You will not find a more reliable dealer ANYWHERE! I have had good luck with WG&A as well. They are advertising VKTs in excellent condition for $119 plus shipping which is a very fair price. Good luck in your search.
