Has anyone been able to get either Weiger or Bulgarian hi-caps to work in their converted Saiga .223? I'm thinking of buying one, but don't want to be stuck only being able to use ten rounders. Thanks. --tac

Wiegers, Galil 35 round polymers, Bulgarian AK-74, Bulgarian Waffles. These are some that can be used with Saiga .223 rifles.

I've got some clear Bulgie 20's and 30's already modded for sale. They work great, like they were made for it. PM me if interested.

Thanks for the offer, Cobra, but I'm pretty sure I can do the mag mods myself. I just wanted to see if folks were having success using hi-caps in .223 Saigas.

yep they work nice, got a couple from cobra, and did a couple myself(his look way better!). You may dunce one or two , then you should get the hang of it. You may wanna buy at least one allready made, to use as an example.

Hi guys rather than starting a new thread, I have a question. Do you need to install a bullet guide in order to use a hi-cap magazine? I'm talking about the 223 saiga of course. I want to keep the gun orginial. no conversion's.--- Cobra what are you asking for your mags? This is for a friend.

Yes you need a bullet guide to use Bugarian mags. I think someone just came out with some modified Weigers or something that are supposed to work as is but you still need to convert the gun using the correct compliance parts for them to be legal. The Weigers are not wide enough and need shimming to eliminate side play. The Bulgies are a good tight fit and feed 100%.
I've been selling these converted clear ones for $35 shipped.
BTW these are not the old ones that had cracking issues. They are the new reinforced ones.

I like the Galil Orlite 35 round .223 mags. Just a simple modification to the mag , add a bullet guide and a slight bevel below the chamber.
