Just gotta Bulgarian Mak...Any Helpful Hints

I just purchased a Bulgarian Makarov. Any helpful hints I need to know from fellow mak owners.

Mark gotta mak........j/k..........Did you get yours from sog??........If you got it from SOG is it in "excellent" condition?? Does the matte finish look good?? Mine should be here by Monday..........I would check out makarov.com they have all the info you could possibly desire!:D

I didnt get it from SOG but a gun show. I got it from a guy who always sells surplus stuff so it could very well be from SOG. The blueing looks pretty good, some holster wear. All in all I got out of there with a Mak, 2 mags, Holster, cleaning rod thing, 200 rds of ammo for about 200. I did ok considering gun prices nowadays. Hope you have as much look as I did with yours.

You should have some fun with it. Matt Price and I went on Sunday and we both got some excellent-like new Yugo SKS's from that table as you walk in the front for 250 bucks. The ones he had out at first were shitty in my opinion, but he had another crate of what seemed to be new ones. I just cleaned mine and there was no carbon in the gas tube and no fouling in the barrel, just cosmoline, so I think I came out pretty good. We are in the Wildlife club starting January, so we'll have to go shooting with Matt Price, Michael Lail, and Matt Harvan, we'll make some Osama targets and blow them to hell with my M1A. I've only put about 10 rds. through it to see if it worked, so I need to do a lot more shooting. Later

Hey man, we need to go shooting very soon. I havent shot in a long time. I got 200 rds for the mak and about 300 for the sks and hardly any for the mauser. I didnt get any at the show. I think im going to order some off the internet if I can find it cheap. Is that romainian stuff you had any good. I still need a front site hood and a sling for it, i gotta bayonet at the show. I need to get a membership down at the club sometime. Call me over the break and we'll go shootin shit.
