View Full Version : Price check m39 sneak
Reciever has Czarist Crest (double headed eagle)
Dated 1970
I'd call it 95%+ blueing
perfect bore
bolt has some surface rust nothing serious
trigger is an increably smooth 4lbs (best mil-spec bolt gun I've felt)
attached origional leather sling
plus ~150 rounds thrown in for fun
what would be a fair price
Oh, REDSTAR! It has a cleaning rod!!!
A BIG THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

For comparison I checked WGA since they currently have the largest selection of M39's available. They had two Sneaks one is sold and there was no price listed and the other one is 1969, 100% Blue, miror bore, nice stock for $379.
Considering your getting a sling ($10) and ammo ($15) I'd probably pay up to $300 for it if I really wanted it bad. I'm too cheap to fork out $300 for a M39 though...

yeah, that's a great deal. If you dont want it I'll take it!
W2K, I've always got a rod with the M39's, it's those darned M44's and M91/30's that get me every time.

I was just wondering why the commies would have stamped a Czarist crest on a file made during the middle of the cold war?
don't mean to nitpick just wondering how/why it was on there
The Finns rebarreled existing recievers... some M39s are on recievers that qualify as antiques rather than firearms (100+years old I believe is that delimination)
The reciever was origionally manufactred much before the 1970 rebarrel and conversion to M39 probably from an old M91
