anyone have a walther p1/p38?

i just ordered a walther p1 from fac, and was wondering if anybody has bought one of these lately. i've seen alot of them advertised. this one was advertised as "excellent." thanks!

I've got a P-38 dated '45. If you've got any questions I'll try to help. I bought mine from a local store though.

sorry about that. fac is federal arms corp. they have a cheesy web site, but nothing is on it. phone number is 763-780-8780

the p1's range from 260.00 in "very good" to 280.00 in "excellent."

the p38's are 263.00 in "good" to 347.00 in "excellent" with walther box.

to be honest, i'm not quite sure of the difference between the p1's and the p38's. seems like the p1's might be police surplus, and the p38's are commercial, but don't quote me on that.

the 260.00 p1 is what i ordered.

P38 were the WWII German sidearm, and the production continued after the war for police use. And later on it became P1, which really looks exactly like the P38. I think P1's were imported by Interarms in the 60s.
