Hmm. Post a pic of it if you can. I don't have that one in my list of proofmarks either. Most finish rifles are composed of russian parts though. Are there any other proofs on the bolt? Usually they're hammers and sicles...
BTW, the only arsenal mark I know of from Bulgaria is a double circle 10.

I have seen this question on every C&R forum with no answers, just speculations. Some seem to think it is Chinese in origin, but it is to common. Sorry I could not be of more help

1. they are to small for me to get a clear picture of. I will attach the three stamps I have found. One is Russian (arrow) I know the other two is two thirds of a triangle and the triangle 21?
2. I at least know it is Russian mfg but still can figure out the other stamps. The triangle 21 is large with the other two being very small, needing a magnifying glass to see them clearly.

the triangle with arrow inside is the mark of the Izhevsk arsenal, very common manufacturer.
As for the others, I am not sure.

1. The triangle 21 is our mystery. Have to do some research and see if anybody can solve it. Come on Redstar.
2. Since the bolt has a triangle arrow proof is it possible that is was made by another country and then approved for use in Russian by their proofstamp? Or maybe made in Russia and then approved by the user country?
3. Find the Triangle 21 origin and the mystery will be solved.
4. Yes, I watched Nero Wolf last night;)

Thats a challenge! I checked Mosin.net's proof marks as well nothing there. I need to look at my bolts tonight.
My guess is that it is a particular Russian's inspectors mark.
Is the 21 for sure a 21 and not some cryllic writing?
Oh yeah, another Bulgarian proof mark is a pine cone.

1. The russian marks are tiny, but the triangle 21 is as big as a dime. I will try to get a pic this evening, but it is basically as I drew it above.
